A Support Group for anybody who has been affected by Dementia, either through a family member or friend. As well as offering a range of guest speakers such as Carelink and Alpha Mobility, many attendees find informal discussions amongst themselves useful. Senior members of staff from Pinfold Lane Day Centre attend to give advice as well as other professionals within the social work framework. Complementary refreshments available. Although it is advertised as a Carers Support Group, those who are cared for are also welcome to attend pinfold.lane@bury.gov.uk

Prestwich Together Diversity Picnic : St. Mary’s Park, Prestwich

Family friendly, safe and welcoming space where Prestwich residents from different backgrounds, religions and nationalities can gather and meet. Participants may bring their own picnic food and non-alcoholic refreshments which they may share if they wish. Balloons, crafts and bubbles available for children plus possible story telling or informal music. The picnic will be a celebration of the great diversity within Prestwich and a show of solidarity in our community to residents of all backgrounds.
