REMINDER EXTENDED DEADLINE: Take part in the Bury State of the Sector Survey 2016

Take part in the Bury State of the Sector Survey 2016

Share your views and experiences as part of Bury’s Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE)

The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR), at Sheffield Hallam University, is working in partnership with 10GM and GMCVO to assess the State of the Sector across Bury and Greater Manchester.

As part of this study we are conducting a survey of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across Bury. This is a reminder that there is one week left until the survey closes. There is still chance to help ensure we are able to fully identify the contribution, scope, nature and experiences of the voluntary, community and enterprise sector in Bury as well as how we can work together to strengthen the sector across Greater Manchester. The deadline for responses is: Sunday 18 December 2016.

If you have already completed the survey, many thanks for taking the time to do this, it is much appreciated and please ignore the rest of this email.

The survey is simply to complete and can be completed on line at:
Bury State of the Sector Survey

We are interested in your organisation; the activities that you undertake; income and expenditure; staffing; and your experiences of working with other organisations.

Your responses will remain completely confidential and anonymous. Personal information will not be shared with any other party.

It should take around twenty minutes to complete the survey. To complete the finance section it will help to have your annual accounts for the last three years to hand. Don’t let this put you off though, its fine to provide estimates if you don’t have the exact figures. We are keen that as many organisations as possible take part in this survey, no matter how large or small, please spare the time to help with this important piece of research. As in previous years we will share the outcomes of the research with the sector, partners, funders and the public.  We know that Bury’s State of the Sector Survey has had a real impact in raising the profile and understanding of what voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations do to make a difference in Bury.  The 2016 Survey will add to this.

Thank you very much in anticipation of your help. Your time and input are very much appreciated. If you have any questions please contact Kelly Dawson, Operations Manager at CVS Rochdale on behalf of 10GM, at or you can contact Elizabeth Sanderson from the research team directly via email at

Many thanks for your help and support.
