Chair Based Activity Session & Piece of Mind Cafe

Making Space in conjunction with Six Town Housing are pleased to announce that they are launching a new chair based activity session and a new monthly Piece of Mind Café. These will take place at Waverley Place, School St, Radcliffe, M26 3AQ.

The Chair based activity will start on Monday 23rd January between 10:30 and noon and the Piece of Mind café will commence in March (or possibly February). The Chair based activity is available to anyone, not just those living with dementia. It will have a big social emphasis encouraging people  to chat with each other before and after the activities which we hope people will find fun.

The day for the Piece of Mind café has yet to be agreed.  It will run for two hours each month and will consist of a variety of activities from craft work, games, reminiscing and entertainers.

There is a consultation session so that you can tell us what you would like from these events. This will take place at Waverley Place on Monday 16th January 10:30-noon and we would like as many people as possible to drop in and give us an opinion of how these sessions should unfold. We would welcome people living with dementia, their carers family and friends plus professionals, members of local older peoples groups and anyone with an interest.
