Bury Diabetic Support Group

Footcare Workshop

Great concern is being expressed over the Podiatry and general footcare intended to be provided through the Pennine Care Trust.

At the present moment the figures for diabetic amputation is high nationally at nearly 150 such cases per month, and as it is essential that diabetics or others at risk, should have regular nail clipping by a qualified trained person, we are concerned by letters being sent to patients by the Trust in which they state that they can no longer provide a nail cutting service.

We view this situation to be putting patients at risk.

On the 10th of July we are holding a workshop from 1.pm to 3.30pm in

Bury Carers Centre
